2008-2009 Activities and Projects: Related as hours donated - 144 hrs. brunswick stews, 12 hrs. broom sales, 24 hrs. Christmas wrap, 75 hrs. football concessions, 108 hrs. basketball concessions, 264 hrs. baseball/softball concessions, and 30 hrs. fall festival and attraction book sales at McLeansville Tractor Show. We recycled about 250 pairs of glasses sent to Mexico. 10 hrs. were spent buying and delivering Christmas donations, 30 hrs. spent buying concessions, 6 hrs. spent recycling eye glasses, 1 hr. spent with purchasing raffle ticket, and 4 hrs. spent with vision machine help. We spent $475 for vision machine, $335 for eye exams, $434 for Christmas family and donations, $150 for raffle ticket for Stevens Johnson Syndrome child, and $960 value of stew donated to Loaves & Fishes. Lens Crafters donated glasses for many we helped. Summary - 708 hours donated and $2,204 donated for projects.
Thanks for your help during ball concessions! We get a sales break until football. Fall festival broom sales, helping with NC DOT vision van this fall in Greensboro, and vision van in February at Apple's Chapel are in the future. Do not forget cleanup in lower building, getting prices and help with a new roof, and painting our sign, handrails, and building.
